Students will be given a general indication of their performance (grade only) during the year by their lecturers/course directors, subject to final confirmation by the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies and College of Science (as appropriate) in the Summer Exam Board.  The grading system employed for this purpose will be:

Grade Band
A 70 - 100%
B 60 - 69%
C 50-59%
D 40-49%
E 0 -39% (Fail)

Credit will not be awarded in respect of modules where a grade E has been awarded,  overall awards will not be calculated until all modules have been successfully passed. The Examinations Office in NUI Galway will issue overall results for the year following the Exam Board meeting each June.   Results will be available online and can be accessed through your student campus account.
